Status: Listed as near threatened. Largely due to being taken from the wild for pets.
Distribution: Congo African Grays are found on the islands of Principe and Bioko as well as from south-eastern Cote d'lvoire to western kenya.
Size: The African Grey can reach up to 12 inches in length and weigh between 400-650 grams.
Food: They feed primarily on nuts, fruits and leafy matter.
Habitat: They prefer primary and secondary rainforest.
Tidbit: African greys are higly intelligent when compared to other birds. Some are capable of thousands of words and speaking in sentences.
Lifespan: They generally live up to 60 years.
